چکیده
Background: Although physical activity (PA) among adults is associated with health benefits, only one-third of young meet PA recommendations. Examining if the type has an impact on individuals’ psychological responses may future interventions and rates adults. Aims: This study examined affective other to a class high intensity interval training (HIIT) or moderate continuous (MICT). Methods: Participants (n = 41) were active 18–25-year-old college students randomized participate in HIIT MICT. was higher included more breaks from relative Both classes 30-minutes that warm-up cool down. Psychological factors affect, enjoyment, exercise-feeling. Results Conclusions: condition reported lower positive affect exhaustion during than MICT condition. However, there no effect group assignment tranquility, engagement, revitalization. provides some evidence result levels PA; however, does not appear enjoyment. Future studies should examine through lens dual-mode theory over multi-week intervention. Additionally, often discussed as requiring less time traditional workouts while experiencing similar so vs. shorter classes.

Affective Responses to Repeated Sessions of High-Intensity Interval Training.
PURPOSE Vigorous exercise feels unpleasant, and negative emotions may discourage adherence to regular exercise. We quantified the subjective affective responses to short-term high-intensity interval training (HIT) in comparison with moderate-intensity continuous training (MIT). METHODS Twenty-six healthy middle-age (mean age, 47 ± 5 yr; mean VO2peak, 34.2 ± 4.1 mL·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹) sedentary men we...

متن کاملHigh Intensity Interval Training Vs Moderate Intensity Continuous Training in the Management of Metabolic Type Disease
Previously, the use of moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) has generally been considered the most beneficial exercise treatment modality for the prevention/management of metabolic type disease. More recently, however, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) has emerged into the clinical setting as a potential alternative to traditional MICT in the management of such diseases, but the ...

AIM To determine the impact of low volume high-intensity interval training (LVHIIT) and continuous low to moderate-intensity exercise training (CLMIT) on cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and health outcomes in cancer survivors. METHODS Sedentary cancer survivors (n = 75, aged 51 ± 12 year) within 24 months of diagnosis, were randomised into three groups for 12 wk of LVHIIT (n = 25), CLMIT (n...
متن کاملHigh-Intensity Interval Training as an Efficacious Alternative to Moderate-Intensity Continuous Training for Adults with Prediabetes
AIMS High-intensity interval training (HIIT) leads to improvements in various markers of cardiometabolic health but adherence to HIIT following a supervised laboratory intervention has yet to be tested. We compared self-report and objective measures of physical activity after one month of independent exercise in individuals with prediabetes who were randomized to HIIT (n = 15) or traditional mo...
